Matrix is new member of the Packaging Cluster

Matrix Injection Moulds and Tools joins the Packaging Cluster network. The cluster, established in 2012, today groups more than 100 members: companies, knowledge centers and entities that represent the entire value chain in the packaging field. Meet Guillem Raurell, apprentice at Matrix Injection Moulds and Tools

Matrix Injection Moulds and Tools is pleased to introduce you to new apprentice Guillem Raurell.Guillem studies of the Vocational Training in Mechatronics and Robotics at Fundació Eduard Soler School, a three years double degree that teechs developing and managing projects for the assembly and maintenance of automatic installations in industrial systems and configuring and optimizing industrial mechatronic systems

The dual training allows the company to recover the figure of the qualified apprentice, an usual role since Matrix's foundation in 1974, and allows teaching qualified professionals in our company culture. A tutor is assigned from Matrix side to ensure the learning process of the students is working. This process has been agreed by Eduard Soler Foundation and guarantee 970 hours of training in Matrix.

New managing team at Matrix Injection Moulds

This is to inform you that from October 1st., Mr. Lino Sessa will be responsible for the commercial department , and Mr. Emili Nadal will manage the technical office. Both managers have extensive experience within the company and a professional career of more than 25 years in the injection moulding industry. 
Both managers will be at your disposal in order to obtain first-hand references on the state of projects, respond to your inquiries and meet your needs.

Furthermore, we would like to take this opportunity to inform you that Mr. Joan Millán González has ceased his responsabilities at the head of the technical and comercial management of MATRIX, S.A. due to his retirement. The entire team of MATRIX would like to thank Mr.Joan Millán for the work done, as well acknowledge the success achieved for three decades, and wishes him the best of luck for his forthcoming period of his life. In early March, Òscar Pérez, technician from Matrix Injection Moulds and Tools quality department, visited  FES technology center to test and improve the process of 3D measuring machinery. For Matrix, it is a pleasure to teach non-profit institutions, as Eduard Soler Foundation is, our know-how. Both institutions, Matrix and FES, are part of the legacy of Eduard Soler, a local entrepreneur and visionary of industrial trends. Eduard Soler died in 2000, but his charisma and technological spirit still lives on in Ripoll.

Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) measures statement

The expansion of Covid-19 is reason to implement measures to prevent its spread. Matrix S.A. has established measures to prioritize the health and safety of our staff.Today, we maintain the production of injection molds for the medical and pharmaceutical sector, as well as for essential packaging applications. Also, we are maintaining our business relationships through non-contact means.

Measures implemented to prevent the spread of the virus include:

• Elimination of meetings inside and outside the factory. Using online applications to communicate.
• Engineering department, administration department, production scheduling department are working from home.
• Flexible entry and exit times to avoid physical contact
• Continuous work day
• All employees use face mask, gloves and safety glasses.
• No handshakes, hugs or kisses.
• Points enabled in different areas of the factory to wash your hands.
• Wash your hands regularly with soap (20 seconds or more) or use a disinfecting solution (alcohol).
• Use disposable tissues. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
• Cleaning and disinfection of objects and surfaces.
• Pay attention to the symptoms of the flu or respiratory infection (fever, cough, shortness of breath ...).
• Maintain a minimum interpersonal distance of 1.5 m.
