Bosch takes over from Josep Abril as the responsible person for spare parts and repairs. With over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing and assembly of injection moulds, Miquel Bosch was trained at the Eduard Soler Foundation - Escola del treball del Ripollès, a specialized vocational training center, and subsequently joined Matrix SA.

Josep Abril, After Sales Manager and Head of Operations at Matrix SA,has retired after a long career in the injection mould making sector.
Since 2005, Abril has been part of the Matrix SA project. He has developed his career in strategic positions of responsibility, helping to consolidate Matrix as a reference mould maker in Spain.
The entire MATRIX staff thanks Josep Abril for the work he has done, as well as recognizes the success achieved during his years in the company.

Marqués, with a long career in the automotive sector, takes the reins of the technical-commercial management of dies and tools department. Specialist in metal stamping, Pablo has comprehensive experience in the development of stamping projects. His professional start was as a die designer and later he was responsible for projects in the automotive industry.
Marqués takes over from Ramón Altarriba who recently retired. For both, Matrix SA, wishes them luck and success in their projects.
More informationAurelien Fontain is 18 years old and is from Alençon in Normandy (France). He is studying Higher Vocational Training in plastics and during July he has been training at the Matrix SA factory.
This first experience with international students has been a complete success for both parties. Fontain has been involved in the injection mold construction process and has been working in different departments: assembly, metrology and injection. This collaboration has been possible thanks to the agreement with French cluster Polyvia.

Carlos Almor joins the engineering office of Matrix Injection Moulds. Carlos, 48 years old, begins his second stage in The Matrix. Almor is from Barcelona, is a draftsman and designer of injection moulds with 3 decades of experience in the sector.
Carlos is a specialist in injection of new materials and new technologies in machining.

On March 31, Ramon Altarriba, head of dies and tools division, retired. Ramon Altarriba joined Matrix SA staff in 1977. He started as an operator in the workshop handling lathes and milling machines. Later, he joined the moulds and dies design department. In the 1980s, Altarrriba's advanced knowledge of english language helped him to deal numerous business contacts outside of Spain, reaching collaboration agreements with Japanese companies.
Ramon Altarriba was a pioneer in the industry with the implementation of Integraph CAD/CAM drawing software. In the last 2 decades, Ramon has been the commercial and technical manager in the tooling department of Matrix SA.

The dual training allows the company to recover the figure of the qualified apprentice, an usual role since Matrix's foundation in 1974, and allows teaching qualified professionals in our company culture. A tutor is assigned from Matrix side to ensure the learning process of the students is working. This process has been agreed by Eduard Soler Foundation and guarantee 970 hours of training in Matrix.
