After an outstanding professional career, Yago Torrent, Phd Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Barcelona, retires, bringing to a close over 50 years of career achievements. Torrent began in the banking sector, transitioned into truck engineering, and specialised in managing multinational companies. In 2012, he joined the SOME group, also taking on the General Management of Matrix, leading the company for over 12 years. In December 2024, he concluded his professional journey, leaving behind a strong team and a successor focused on maintaining competitiveness.
Ramon Mena, owner of the SOME group, takes over. A graduate in Business Administration and Management (ADE) and trained at IESE, he has been part of the group since 2009. Now, as the new General Manager, he takes the helm of Matrix with the aim of consolidating industrial leadership and exploring new growth opportunities.
This transition symbolises the continuity of the prosperity achieved under Yago Torrent’s leadership. Ramon Mena steps into the role, strengthened by his family ties to the company and the experience gained alongside Torrent, while maintaining a solid management team.
